Principles of personal defense
This course is for individuals who have a solid foundation in the safe handling of firearms and the principles of marksmanship. It will take your shooting capabilities established on the range and begin to apply them to a self-defense scenario.
If you want to become proficient with your handgun so that you can employ it in a defense scenario, this course is for you.
In this class, we will discuss draw from a concealed holster, engagements with multiple rounds and multiple targets, considerations if you are involved in a personal defense scenario, and developing an every day carry system. There will be both “classroom” and range/hands-on instruction.
At the beginning of the course, students will be required to demonstrate safe handling and marksmanship skills in order to continue.
Firearm gear - A pistol of your choice, a minimum of 2 magazines for your sidearm (5 recommended), outside the waistband (OWB) or inside the waistband (IWB) concealment holster, magazine holders, eye protection, ear protection (over the ear “muffs” recommended, electronic is better, but not required), cleaning kit for your chosen firearm.

Recommended gear:
Non-firearm - A folding chair, notebook and writing utensil, plenty of water and a water bottle, snacks/food, sunscreen, bug spray, hat, towel, hand sanitizer, appropriate attire for the weather. NO OPEN-TOED SHOES.
Only extreme weather cancels classes.
