White Belt Pistol
Building Pistol Fundamentals
Round Count - 200
This is the perfect course if you’ve just purchased your first handgun and want to learn the best practices for safe and effective use.
It is designed to introduce new shooters to safe, sound, and effective firearms practices. In this course, we will help you build, from the ground up, the knowledge and habits that will allow you to enjoy firearms for years to come. This safety-focused course includes an in-depth review safety rules, handgun components and nomenclature, ammo components and selection, assembly, disassembly, cleaning, handling, principles of marksmanship, how to practice, and gear considerations.
Our instructors begin with the basics so you become a safe and competent member of the firearm community.
This course contains both “classroom” and “range” training, though both may take place outdoors.
Yellow Belt Pistol
Application of Fundamentals
Round Count - 400
This course will take your established fundamentals and build upon them to produce an efficient, capable shooter. We will cover topics like strong hand and weak hand shooting, multiple shot strings and recoil management, target transitions, throttle control, drawing from outside the waist band, reloads from your belt, and fixing malfunctions. In addition, we will also talk about how to continue your practice and introduce students to a shot timer.
At the beginning of the course you will be asked to complete the following skills assessment:
From 10 yards you will fire 10 shots at a 6 inch circle printed on an 8.5"x11" piece of copy paper. 8 of your 10 rounds must be in the circle, and all 10 rounds must hit the paper.
Blue Belt Pistol
Principles of Personal Defense
Round Count - 500
This course is for individuals who have a solid foundation in the safe handling of firearms and the principles of marksmanship. It will take your shooting capabilities established on the range and begin to apply them to a self-defense scenario.
If you want to become proficient with your handgun so that you can employ it in a defensive situation, this course is for you. We will cover topics like moving with the gun, shooting while moving, shooting around cover, "slicing the pie", alternate shooting positions, establishing draw to first shot times, target discretion, the concealed draw, the covert draw, the 3 A's of personal defense, legal and moral issues of carrying for defense, and how to practice and progress after class.
At the beginning of the course, students will be required to complete the following 20 round assessment using a B8 repair center (7 ring and in), all timed portions are to begin with gun aimed at the bottom of the target (BOT):
From the 3 yard line:
-1 shot in less than 2 seconds
-2 rounds SHO
-2 round WHO
From the 5 yard line:
-3 rounds in less than 4 seconds
-1 round SHOW
-1 round WHO
From the 7 yard line:
-1 reload 1 in less than 5 seconds
-Fire two rounds in less than 3 seconds (repeat a second time)
From the 10 yard line:
-Fire 4 rounds freestyle
Students must score an aggregate of 170/200
NRA Basic Pistol
NRA Certified Course
This course is the NRA's certified Basic Pistol Course, and it comes with an NRA certificate of completion. It will often be taught in conjunction with the White Belt Class.
This course will take the new-to-firearms person from unfamiliar to being able to safely operate a pistol. We will cover the NRA's safety rules, function and operation of various handguns, the composition of ammunition and selecting ammo, cleaning and maintaining a firearm, and the fundamentals of marksmanship.
There is a written test and a range qualification that must be passed in order to receive the certificate.
There will be both classroom and range components to this class.
SC CWP
South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit
This course meets the qualifications for the SC CWP. Students will learn the laws of concealed carry for South Carolina. We will also discuss gear and best practices for every day carry (EDC).
There is a classroom and range portion to this class, and students must pass a written exam and a range/marksmanship qualification in order to receive their CWP.
Private Classes
Individual Skill Assessment and Progress
We offer Private Lessons for students that would like 1:1 or 1:2 instruction that is tailored to their needs and ability level.
Your instructor will work with you to establish your baseline skill and help you hone those skills and develop a practice plan for your further skill development.
The cost of private lessons is $75 per hour per person (max two people), with a two hour minimum, plus applicable range fees.

Do you have a specific group with specific needs? Let us know and we can develop a custom class for your group. Contact us with your needs, and we will organize the class around you.
If you can get at least 5 other shooters (6 total), the you, as the organizer, will get your course for free!
Prices will vary depending on class size and skills addressed, but the quote and conversation are always free.
Family Safety
Basic Handgun Literacy
FREE SEMINARS.
THERE WILL BE NO FUNCTIONING FIREARMS OR LIVE AMMO AT THIS SEMINAR.
This is a free, family friendly, one hour seminar that will be held in various locations around Upstate, SC.
During this hour, we will cover: how to talk to kids about gun safety, ways to practice with your children, securing firearms in the home, and how to unload and render safe common handguns. This will be hands-on, with various activities to make sure you know how to keep your family safe.
